DIEGO SANCHEZ VS HATHAWAY POSSIBLE AT UFC 114

Diego Sanchez announced via his Twitter page that he may have an opponent for his return to the Welterweight Division at UFC 114 in Las Vegas on May 29.

British fighter John Hathaway is said to be that opponent.  “Finally got an opponent, John Hathaway.  He’s a 12-0 tough kid from the UK.  We’ll be fighting May 29th in Vegas.  It’s on!” stated Sanchez.

Diego has been vocal about his desire to return to 170lbs. since shortly after coming up short in his bid for the Lightweight Championship.

A large Welterweight at 6’2”, the well rounded, undefeated Hathaway represents a truly tough return to the 170 lb. weight class for Diego.  John is an undefeated fighter who has gone 3-0 in the UFC with a TKO over Tom Egan, and two more impressive decision victories over the very talented Ricky Story, and fellow Brit standout Paul Taylor.

UFC 114 is rumored to be the show in which Rashad Evans and Quentin Jackson will finally have their long awaited showdown in the Main Event.
