The Right Hook

The right hook is amongst the most powerful punch in boxing. This is usually because there is a huge amount of force generated through leverage of the body. This punch, if connected properly to the chin will almost be guaranteed to result in a knock out. However, because of the amount of movement that is involved in throwing this punch, it is difficult to land. A way around is to combine this with other punches to minimize telegraphing the shot.

The Right Hook is thrown usually after a punch from the lead hand. This could either be a Jab or a Left Hook. When the lead hand is thrown, it allows the body to angle in a way that enable you to execute the Right Hook. The Right Hook is an effective punch either too the body or head, and will almost likely hurt the opponent.

Make sure when throwing such a punch that you don't leave yourself open to a counter, as this is easily done throwing such a punch.
