Cage Rage Rules

Cage Rage rules outline the requirements of six weight divisions which are as follows:

  • Featherweight:   Between  61 - 66 kg (136 - 145 lb)
    Lightweight:  Between 66 - 70 kg (146 - 155 lb)
    Welterweight: Between 71 - 77 kg (156 - 170 lb)
    Middleweight: Between 78 - 84 kg (171 - 185 lb)
    Light Heavyweight: Between 84 - 93 kg  (186 - 205 lbs)
    Heavyweight: Between Over 93 kg (205 lbs)

  • These weight categories are designed to ensure that the fights are evenly matched in the weight department. Unlike the UFC event where there are five weight categories the Cage Rage Championships has six.

These are the fowls that can be committed in the Cage:

  1. *Cage Rage disallows Butting with the head.
  2. *Cage Rage disallows Eye gouging.
  3. *Cage Rage disallows biting.
  4. *Cage Rage disallows hair pulling.
  5. *Cage Rage disallows fish hooking.
  6. *Cage Rage disallows groin attacks
  7. *Cage Rage disallows putting a finger into any orifice or into any cut or laceration on an   opponent. (see Gouging)
  8. *Cage Rage disallows; manipulation of small joints.
  9. *Cage Rage disallows striking to the spine or the back of the head.
  10. *Cage Rage disallows throat strikes
  11. *Cage Rage disallows clawing, pinching or twisting the skin on the body or face.
  12. *Cage Rage disallows grabbing the clavicle.
  13. *Cage Rage disallows kicking the head of a grounded opponent, unless an open guard has been   called.
  14. *Cage Rage disallows Kneeing the head of a grounded opponent, unless an open guard has   been called.
  15. *Cage Rage disallows stomping a grounded opponent, unless an open guard has been called.
  16. *Cage Rage disallows elbow strikes to a grounded opponent

*These are some of the main fouls that can be committed and as a result can result in a point being deducted as well as being disqualified.
