He fought against Valavicius Egidijus Valavicius by submission by incopertaing his favorite move the Kimura Lock. The event was called RINGS and the event took place in Europe in Lithuania. The event title was Bushido Rings 7: Adrenalinas. The match between the two was held on 5th April 2003 and Fedor won early on in the second round.
