One of the fighting legends in Japan that have fought consistently in Pride FC is Kazuyuki Fujita. Despite his popularity, Fujita was a heavy underdog when he faced the formidable Russian fighter Fedor Emelianenko. However this fight nearly turned into a huge upset when Fujita landed a heavy punch that rocked Fedor. Fedor was able to recover and come back with his own barrage of punches and kicks.

Fedor Emelianenko was able to recover and come back and win the mma fight with a submission victory in the first round. The fight took place n Pride FC.
