For the first time in mma history, a womens fight will headline the card at the Strikeforce event on August 15, 2009 at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California. The fight will be aired on Showtime. For a number of years this fight as been talked about, becouse of both Gina Carano vs Cyborg Santos have risen through ranks through their destruction of their opposition.

The reason why most people are interested in this fight is because both Carano and Cyborg are exciting fighters to watch. Both have great striking skills through their utilisation of their aggressive Muay Thai Skills and an effective ground game. The winner of the fight will be the one who can defend the takedowns and dominate the stand-up. A closer look at both figthters would indicate the Cyborg will be the better grappler and should dominate Carano if the fight goes to the ground.

Most mma  analysts and odd makers have Cyborg Santos winning this fight. However this fight will be more than likely closer than the betting odds indicate. With Carano possibly causing an upset.
