Houston Alexander

Houston Alexander is popularly known as "The Nebraskan Assassin" among his fans. This 36 year old American Mixed Martial Arts fighter was born on March 22, 1972 in East Saint Louis, Illinois, USA. His fighting style is Wrestling and Muay Thai. At present he is in the category of light heavyweight in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Not only this he is also a well-known hip-hop artist. As his name suggests he fights to destroy his enemy and wants be the number one contender. He earned his name "The Assassin" as he believes in fighting to the last breath. He wants to rise from the bush leagues of mixed martial arts and rise to the top. He wants to make a name in the next scheduled fight in UFC 75 in London.

Houston Alexander's career started with his debut match against Keith Jardine. He fought this at UFC 71 on May 26, 2007. During the first round he had a quick win over Keith Jardine by knocking him out in 48 seconds flat. Houston Alexander is a dedicated fighter and since his first win he trains full-time which means thrice a day the entire week including Sundays. Houston Alexander has now signed a contract for three years with the UFC. He put up a pulsating performance in the UFC 75 where he knocked down Alessio Sakara. Alessio Sakara tried his best to win by throwing a couple of shots, which Houston Alexander countered by using the technique of close-contact strikes.  Houston Alexander faced Thiago Silva at UFC 78 but unfortunately lost to him as he won by TKO. The game was stopped after the first round  itself when he found that . Houston Alexander had mounted on Thiago Silva and was raining punches and blows. The match came to an end here.  Houston Alexander again lost to James Irvin this time because of a technical knockout. This fight was at UFC Fight Night 13 which was held in Broomfield at Colorado. The fight made a record for the quickest knockout at (0:08) of the 1^st round. Houston Alexander MMA professional record holds 8 wins of which he had won 6 by knockout, 1 by submission and lost 3.

Houston Alexander's interest apart from the fights lies in hip-hop music which is very surprising. He has made it his hobby and is known as a good artist from Omaha, Nebraska. In the 1980's he collected the artists from the area and formed a movement, which was called the Scribble Crew. It was an alliance, formed by the graffiti writers of North Omaha. Later they developed the reputation of being the top tag artists. At present Houston Alexander is working on the local radio station on KOPW 106.9. He is a very well known DJ there. He has been hosting independent music shows featuring hip hop and one of the programs being provided is  "Culture Shock School Tour" which is a program put up by elementary school and helps to make the children aware about Hip Hop. He had also protested about Omaha's disinterest in hip hop artists and their disinterested approach towards it. Houston Alexander is a single parent raising six children. He had also donated one of his kidneys to his eldest daughter.

Houston Alexander is a role model for his fans. He fights with full energy and gives his 100%. This hip-hop artist in the ring sends his fans into a frenzy with his mind-blowing performance. He was taught that "all your strength is inside versus outside".
