IFL Rules

The International Fight League follows the rules of mixed martial arts which are certified by the Nevada State Athletic commission. Fights generally consist of three rounds of four minutes. The only difference being the duration which unlike the UFC and other events is only four minutes. The other differences are as follows:

  • Elbow strikes are not allowed to the face or head,
  • If the match is initially scored a draw after three rounds, there will be a three-minute sudden victory round to decide a winner.

The international Fight League is not held in a cage but in a ring. In contrast with most mixed martial arts promotions in the US, the International Fight League stages their fights in a five-roped ring similar to the one similar to the one PRIDE FC.
