Jon Fitch

People might have often read about fairy tales where a person ids able to turn things on their heads with grit, determination and dedication towards the goal. This very thing can also be held true in a real life case and that is of Jonathan Fitch or Jon Fitch. He inclined towards mixed martial arts as a career because of the wealth being accumulated by the best in business. Fitch was always interested in wrestling and the Physical education graduate who also was a part of the university wrestling team took on the captaincy of the team. He often used to interact with other fighters from the field while exercising and following his routines and this also assisted in his choice of careers. Fitch also has professional training in the Brazilian martial art form.

His abilities in the ring not only impressed people but made them believe in his potential of becoming one of the sports greatest. But his start made people think again, there was no question about the potential he carried but the conversion was lacking. His very first match against Mike Pyle was a disaster and he ended submitting to the rear naked choke and eventually losing the match. This was a huge setback for someone who was tipped to be one of the greatest. His next encounter against Dan Hart was very crucial in his career and this time he stood on the winning side for the first time as a pro. As much as this raised his confidence an even bitter future awaited him, He was knocked out in his following match and the encounter after that ended in a no contest. So he was under scrutiny as his first four matches produced two losses and just one victory.

This made Jon realize that he needed to learn much more about the fighting techniques and just the skills of a wrestler would not be sufficient to take him to the heights he wanted to be. He made a thoughtful decision of shifting his training base to San Jose in order to learn kick boxing. Probably this was the aspect of his game that was weak as his experience was more of that as a wrestler. This decision soon showed the results that were expected. Thereafter he defeated every contender he faced and the record since then has been simply superb. Jon delivered a series of victories and paved way for his pay per view debut, he produced a great viewing when he went on to defeat Hironaka. He has been enjoying a winning streak of 14 matches. Being undefeated for so many matches requires serious talent and guts that too over a period of four years.

Jon Fitch surely did not start of in the most phenomenal style but he surely has ensured that the path ahead is better than what it might have been, his winning streak has been a magnificent one and is one of the most remarkable achievements if not the best in the history of the sport.
