Mitsuhiro Ishida

Mitsuhiro Ishida was born in 1978 and is a professional Japanese mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter.  Mitsuhiro Ishida has competed in PRIDE and Shooto. Mitsuhiro Ishida doesn’t have any nickname as yet, unlike other mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters. Mitsuhiro Ishida is known for aerobic conditioning and his amazing wrestling ability. In December 2006, at the PRIDE Shockwave, Ishida fought against Takanori Gomi and lost via knockout. This was a non-title fight, and was the very first defeat of Mitsuhiro Ishida in PRIDE. Due to this loss he was unable to defend his title this year, 2007. A former Shooto  Pacific Rim Welterweight Champion, Mitsuhiro Ishida, is extremely well known in the field of mixed martial arts.

Mitsuhiro Ishida  is described as a polite, and extremely light-hearted chap, who is capable of completely chaning into a dangerous person, that even people who watch him fight, are afraid. Such is his dangerous impact. As soon as he enters into the ring, he gets into action and is always in form even if his opponents are down. He is quite well known for his demeanor.

Mitsuhiro Ishida has a fairly good height of 5 ft 6 in and a weight of 154 lbs (70 kg).  Mitsuhiro Ishida has a Japanese Nationality; his birth town is Tsukuba, Ibaraki. Mitsuhiro Ishida follows a fighting stile of Wrestling. Mitsuhiro Ishida has a mixed martial arts (MMA) record of  14 wins of which 3 are by knockout and 1 by submission with 3 losses and 1 draw.

Mitsuhiro Ishida has participated and won in various events namely; PRIDE - Bushido 10, PRIDE – Bushido11, PRIDE - Bushido 12, PRIDE - Bushido 13, Shooto - The Victory of the Truth in 2006, Shooto - Alive Road 2005, Shooto - Alive Road 2005, GCM - D.O.G. 1 2005, Wanna Shooto 2004, Shooto 2004 - Kitazawa Town Hall 2004, in the year 2003 namely two wins at Shooto in Korakuen Hall. In the year 2002 Mitsuhiro Ishida won at the Shooto - Treasure Hunt and in the year 2001 he won at the Shooto - To The Top 6 and 9 respectively.

Mitsuhiro Ishida Lost against Takanori Gomi with TKO (Strikes) at PRIDE - Shockwave 2006.  He Lost against Vitor Ribeiro by Decision at the Shooto Hawaii - Soljah Fight Night  in 2004. In 2001 Mitsuhiro Ishida lost Daisuke Sugie by unanimous decision at Shooto - To the Top 6. Mitsuhiro Ishida had a draw with Naoki Matsushita at the Shooto 2003 - 7/13 in Korakuen Hall.

Mitsuhiro Ishida trains, along with Tatsuya Kawajiri. At  Pride Bushido 13, Ishida had a remarakable and memorable victory over David Bielkheden, a Swedish fighter. By using the superior position on the ground, Ishida fought relentlessly and took down Bielkheden.

He also battered Bielkheden by pounding him. Mitsuhiro Ishida also demonstrated this unique style at the Pride Bushido 12. He fought and won against  Cristiano Marcello,  Chute Boxer’s primary BJJ instructor. Well known for his ground and pound style, Ishida used this technique to win over his opponent.  In fact he's used this technique on many of his opponents.
