Nathan Diaz

Nathan Diaz is a 23 year old American mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter who is known for painful submissions. Nathan is the younger brother of Nick Diaz who is a UFC veteran. Nathan Donald Diaz or Nate has a proven record of extremely skilled fighting in Strikeforce and the World Extreme Cagefighting promotions. Nathan Diaz fights in a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu style and also holds a brown belt in Cesar Gracie jiu-jitsu. He was born on 16^th April 1985. Diaz is associated with Cesar Gracie Jiu-Jitsu academy at Pleasant Hill in California where he received his professional training from Cesar Gracie who is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Presently, Nathan Diaz is a native of Stockton, California. Diaz is very  focused towards his MMA career. He says, "I see myself fighting everybody at 155" to the UFC. He is now on the road to a promising future in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in lightweight division. Nathan Diaz learned a lot of things about MMA while seeing and helping his brother Nick preparing for his fights. At an early stage of his life he realized his passion for MMA and decided to go for it.

Nathan Diaz has won a total of 9 MMA fights till now out of which 2 have been won by knockout and the remaining 7 via submission. Diaz has competed several times in World Extreme Cagefighting Events. He has also participated in The Ultimate Fighter 5 which was exclusively organized for lightweights. In the prelims, he defeated Rob Emerson by submission. Then in the quarter finals, Nathan Diaz won against Corey Hill by delivering a sharp triangle choke which qualified him for the semi-finals. At the semi-finals, Nathan defeated Gray Maynard by submission and advanced to the finals where he finally faced Manvel Gamburyan. Manvel won the first round, but due to the shoulder dislocation he was forced to submit which ultimately made Nathan Diaz the winner of The Ultimate Fighter 5. Nathan Diaz also defeated Alvin Robinson at the UFC Fight Night 12. Now, Nathan Diaz is looking for some tougher challenges. At UFC Fight Night 13, he fought with Kurt Pellegrino and defeated him via triangle choke submission in the second round. Nathan Diaz has also faced 2 losses till now in his MMA career.

Nathan Diaz developed an interest in MMA while helping his older brother Nick to get prepared for the fights. He always wanted to be an MMA artist. Both Nathan and Nick do a lot of boxing practice everyday. Nathan likes to eat natural and organic food which is low in carbohydrates. He always takes care of his physique and his health. He also believes that it's not good to use steroids at all.

Nathan Diaz is a young MMA fighter who has rapidly gained popularity and fame in his profession. He is very good at submissions and always looks for tougher challenges. He always sets high standards for himself during his training so that he can perform well in competitions.
