Phil Baroni
Phil Baroni is nicknamed "The New York Bad Ass' by his fans. This American Mixed Martial Arts Fighter was born on April 16, 1976 in (New York) United States. He has created a name for himself through his boxing ability and knockout power although he is a proficient wrestler as well. UFC has given a lot to him as he holds a record of 3-5-0 and also has an MMA record of 10-10-0. He has got his formal training with Team Hammer House, including two members of current PRIDE fighters and former UFC heavyweight champions, Mark Coleman and Kevin Randleman. Phil Baroni was an amateur bodybuilder and had a successful boxing and kickboxing career. He has played 7 kick boxing matches and has won all and also won all the 10 boxing matches by knockout. Phil Baroni has a specialization in Biology and Psychology. From the beginning he was a big fan of UFC but never wanted to join it until he joined the Weight classes. Phil Baroni had a push in his career in UFC and became famous after defeating Dave Menne on September 27, 2002 and winning his signature match with a decisive knockout victory. After this win he declared himself to be "The Best Ever". He got into controversial matches against Evan Tanner and after losing 4 times consecutively he was advised by many to retire from the UFC. After a downfall Phil Baroni joined the Hammer House and rebounded in Japan's PRIDE fighting championship and had several victories against Yuki Kondo, Ryo Chonan and Ikuhisa Minowa.On June 4 2006 he was defeated by Ikuhisa Minowa but on October 21st 2006 he got a victory in Pride's 32. Phil Baroni got into a feud against Frank Shemrock a co promotion of Elite XC and strike force on June 6, 2008 22nd, 2007 an Pay-Per-View. Phil Baroni was defeated by Shamrock. Following the Shemrock feud he was tested positive for two types of anabolic steroids. He appealed against a $2500 fine and was suspended for one year. Although he had to face the fine but his suspension was reduced to six months. Phil Baroni fought for the ICON Sport Middleweight title and was defeated by Kala Hose by TKO. In the EliteXC Phil Baroni lost three times in a row by TKO. Phil Baroni has a great heart even though his career has not been the top, that's what his fans say and believe. This is not because his career faced a massive downfall but because he never got a chance to put up a great fight. He is a great fighter and true entertainer and fighting has been his first love. Phil Baroni believes to his very last breath that he is going to win every fight. His confidence is not manufactured. His ring entrance alone is worth the price of admission He is unstoppable and fights to win. Phil Baroni UFA career might not be going high but he is still determined to face the challenge.
