One of the most devastating displays of Muay Thai Boxing in a MMA fight was in the bout between Quinton Jackson and Mauricio Rua. Mauricio "Shogun" Rua defeated Quinton "Rampage" Jackson within five minutes of the first round. In this fight Shogun displayed great strikes which resulted in injuring Rampage Jackson.

The event took place in Osaka, Japan on 23^rd April 2005. The event was called Pride Total Elimination 2005.
