Randy Couture vs Valentijn Overeem

After winning eight fights Randy “The Natural” Couture faced a highly ranked fighter Valentijn Overeem. This fight took place after Randy left the UFC temporarily to fight for the King of the Kings organization on Febuary 24th in the year 2000. Despite being a neavy favorite to win the fight Rany Couture lost via a submission in the first round and the first minute. Some people argue that the reason why he may have lost was because he took his opponent too lightly. After this loss Randy Couture went on to dominate in the main MMA ornanisation the UFC. Here he became the two weight UFC champion.
