Rich Clementi

Rich Clementi known for his propensity for controversies is nicknamed NO LOVE. Ironically, this has nothing to do with his fighting career .He got this name as his wife had left and divorced him leaving him bereft of love, hence Rich Clementi-no love!

This does not mean that he has not made a mark as a boxer.He is an American Mixed Martial Arts fighter born on March 31,1976 in (Edison) New Jersey and currently fights as a lightweight champion in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.                                             .

Rich Clementi was in the army for eight years with the Navy Seabees. After 9/11, he went through a metamorphosis and became a reservist .His divorce affected his reputation to a great extent and affected him deeply this resulted in his nickname "No Love". Presently, he runs an MMA school in his hometown of Slidell, Louisiana.

Rich Clementi appeared as a welterweight on the Ultimate Fighter 4,losing his first fight by a majority decision.. He won his first match in the UFC through rear naked choke submission although the fight was not aired during the broadcast. Recently Rich Clementi defeated one of the contenders and took up the fight on a very short notice. Winning in UFC improved his record. Another feather in his hat was a victory in an under card event at UFC 83. On the whole Rich Clementi has won four straight UFC Pay Per View fights, and six consecutive ones too.  

Rich Clementi has an impressive record of 45 fights out of which he won 32 most of his wins (14) have been by submission. Of course he is also known for his kicks and has won several matches due to that. Rich Clementi has won World Extreme LW Champion, Zst Grand Prix runner-up and Kings Thia Champion. His majority of losses were due to (6) submission with 1 draw in hand.

It has been a great achievement for Rich Clementi to be back in the ring and competing against so many renowned contenders. Rich Clementi struggled a lot in Japan and after slogging so much he managed to earn a name in one of the world's topmost organization in the world. Rich Clementi's motto in a fight has been to be on top grinding out his components, and his favorite striking techniques are the kicks. He has been in the game since 1999 professionally. Since the initial stage he trained under the greatest trainers and he opted for one of the best boxing coaches in the state, George Towne.

Rich Clementi owns a promotional company appropriately called  "No Love Entertainment" and a Tanning Salon as well. He is a contented man today happy with what he has . Fighting for him is a passion, which has always motivated him to move further in life. Rich Clementi believed in becoming mentally strong which is the key in this game, an area other fighters generally overlook. He counts on one thing that is that one should never lose to self and keep fighting to the end. The ultimate aim is to win and entertain the fans. Rich Clementi followed this wisely in all his fights, which gained him a great name in the fighting arena.
