Thiago Silva is a professional fighter of mixed martial arts (MMA). He is a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Thiago Silva's full name is Thiago Anderson Ramos Da Silva. At 25, Thiago Silva has a successful MMA career under his belt, which he began just two years ago, at Predator FC 1, against Rubens Macula. He was awarded the Black belt by Macaco who was also his trainer. Thiago Silva is a Mixed Martial Arts fighter from Sao Paolo, Brazil. He trains with Chute boxe in Brazil. Like most Chute Boxe fighters he is a dangerous Muay-Thai fighter and majority of his wins come from strikes. This Brazilian jiu-jitsu fighter is also known as a meteor.

Before starting his career professionally Thiago Silva used to teach Brazilian jiu-jitsu. When he was 22, he moved from his town to the capital of Sao Paulo. He came alone and stayed at a friend's house for a few months. Thiago Silva started his training with Macaco in wrestling, Muay-Thai and Jiu-Jitsu. Macaco gave him the opportunity and the right platform to fight his professional fight against Rubens Macula at Predator FC 1. He fought him very hard and managed to knock him out. He won back to back championships of Shooto, Fury, and Pancrase. Thiago Silva made the UFC debut against James Irvin on May 26; 2007.He won that fight by TKO (Technical Knock out) in the first round itself. Thiago Silva defeated the new comer Tomasz Drwal at UFC 75.He continued his winning streak against Houston Alexander by a technical knock out at UFC 78.His last fight at UFC was against Antonio Mendes at UFC 84, which he won by submission due to strikes in Las Vegas. In his career he has played 13 matches and won all.
