UFC 92 - Rashad Evans vs Forrest Griffin

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has never disappointed the MMA fans for putting on solid fight Cards. UFC 92 is no exception as there are two titles on the line. There is the Light heavyweight title and also a Heavyweight Title.

The main event for the Light-Heavyweight title is the bout between Forrest Griffin and Rashad Evans. Griffins will be making the first defense of his title against Rashad Evans who has come from a huge knockout victory of Chuck Liddell. There is no clear favorite on who will win the fight. Coincidentally both fighters are winners of the television series TUF.

The co-main event will be a bout will feature the legendary Brazilian Submission master, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. He will also face a submission specialist Frank Mir who has come of a victory over the newly crowned UFC champion, Brock Lesnar. The winner of this fight will not only win the Interim -Heavyweight title but will also be regarded as the best submission fighter in the Heavyweight division.

This star studded UFC event does not stop there with the big fights. Also on the co-main event will be the fight between Wanderlei Silva vs. Quinton Jackson. This fight has a strong history. They have fought each other twice before, with Silva winning both fights. The fights took place in the Pride FC event in Japan where Silva scored knockout victories in both fights. However a lot has changed since then. There has been immense improvement in Jackson's training and fighting ability. Therefore it will be interesting to see who will win the fight.

Other interesting fights on this card include the fights between CB Dolloway and Mike Massenzio. Also the fight between Cheik Congo vs. Mustafa Al Turk.

Overall this will be one of the best MMA fight cards of 2008. It will be a great end to a year for mixed martial arts and the UFC.
